Tony Moorby
NAAA Hall-of-Famer
Tony Moorby started his career in the retail and wholesale car business in England, and became deputy sales director of British Car Auctions.  In the early 1980s, Tony moved to the United States and helped start Anglo American Auto Auctions as vice president of sales.  The company was purchased by many businesses throughout the years, with finally Manheim and ADESA acquiring the company in 2000.  Tony served as vice president and president through the years, and worked with ADESA as executive vice president until 2003.  He has since owned several businesses, and writes a bi-weekly column for Used Car News.   Tony has been inducted into NIADA’s Ring of Honor and NAAA’s Hall of Fame.    

     
 

Wolfgang Reinhold

In 1989 Wolfgang E. Reinhold joined LeasePlan Germany as managing director. In 2003 he was elected senior vice-president car remarketing of LeasePlan Corporation, and since 2006 he holds the position of senior vice-president car remarketing, operations & procurement. Wolfgang’s responsibilities are in the area international procurement for core and non-core business, and controlling and coordinating all international operations activities for around 1.3 million LeasePlan cars. He has control and coordinates all 32 subsidiaries worldwide in the car remarketing area. 

     
  Bill Walton

NBA Legend and Basketball Analyst
A basketball superstar and member of the Basketball Hall of Fame, Bill Walton made sports history playing for UCLA when he led the team to two NCAA championships and a record 88-game winning streak. Walton played under the famed tutelage of John Wooden, who coached "character" and "giving your best" first. Winning was never mentioned in the locker room—lessons that stuck with Walton throughout his career. After college, he played on NBA championship teams—the Portland Trail Blazers and the Boston Celtics—and has received innumerable awards, including citations for his humanitarian and leadership contributors. An Emmy Award-winning basketball analyst formerly with ABC and ESPN, he currently is a television analyst for the Sacramento Kings.

Rene Abdalah

Rene Abdalah is a senior vice president at the RVI Group, and is responsible for business and product development for the insurance business as well as analytical services.  Rene’s area of expertise is in the analysis of the auto leasing market with particular focus on portfolio risk management; his extensive experience in residual risk management includes consulting with bank and captive lessors on appropriate reserve estimates, as well as residual setting practices.  Before joining RVI, he was a principal at The Campbell Group and prior to this, spent four years at Standard & Poor’s Global Automotive Group.  Earlier in his career, he worked at World Omni’s residual risk group, and the Federal Reserve’s automotive group. 

     
 

Stuart Angert
Remarketing Analyst
Stuart Angert was founder, president and CEO of Remarketing Services of America (RSA), from inception in 1991 through 2006.  RSA and its 700 associates were first-to-market, providing third party lease termination and remarketing services for major banks and captive finance companies. RSA was acquired by Daimler-Benz.  Subsequent to his retirement, Stuart has focused his energies on the fields of academia, healthcare, finance, venture capital and entrepreneurship.  He serves on the board of trustees and board of directors of a national bank, a healthcare insurance provider, college and universities, and a research facility that develops protocols in bioinformatics and genomics.  

     
 

Mike Antich

Mike Antich is executive editor and associate publisher for Automotive Fleet Magazine. Mike has been heavily involved in the fleet industry for more than 25 years, writing and editing more than 5,000 articles on fleet management, in addition to his active membership in a number of industry associations, including the Automotive Fleet & Leasing Association (AFLA), NAFA Fleet Management Association (NAFA), and the International Automotive Remarketers Alliance (IARA). Antich is a past AFLA president, a 15-year member of the NAFA Foundation Board of Directors, long-time member of the NAFA Affiliates Committee, and was a member of the committee that helped create the Affiliates position on the NAFA Board of Trustees. He was chairman of the IARA industry task force that developed the first-ever Certified Automotive Remarketers (CAR) program and has served 10 years on the IARA Board of Directors, in addition to being an officer and secretary.

Todd August started his career with Manheim as the factory and reconditioning manager at their then owned auction in High Point, North Carolina. He then went to work for Alamo Rent a Car as western car sales manager in Los Angeles, California.  In 1996, Todd joined the team at Avis Rent A Car, and is currently the director of wholesale operations for Avis Budget Group responsible for auction remarketing for the eastern U.S. of Avis Budget, Zip Car & Payless risk-vehicle.  

     
 

Stuart Bailey

Stuart Bailey serves as vice president of marketing and pre-owned vehicles for Asbury Automotive. Stuart is responsible for developing and implementing programs to ensure operational excellence to support Asbury’s business strategy. He leads initiatives in field operations to drive the company’s operational effectiveness and enhance the customer experience. He joined Asbury in 2011 as used car director for the Atlantic division. In 2013, he became the national used vehicle director. Prior to joining Asbury Automotive, Stuart worked for Sonic Automotive in various positions, and was with Pat Ryan and Associates for seven years. He started his career in the automotive industry in 1985.

     
 

Jonathan Banks

Jonathan Banks manages NADA’s data and editorial services ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of its used car and truck valuations for the automotive industry, financial institutions, businesses and consumers. With 20 years of experience in the automotive industry, Banks is a well-respected expert, speaking at many of the major automotive conferences and conventions across the country. Prior to NADA, Banks worked as a senior director and manager at Automotive Lease Guide (ALG) for 13 years. At ALG, he helped establish a series of successful initiatives to improve and streamline the use of used vehicle market and pricing data to improve its forecasting model. 

     
 

Ricky Beggs

After working within the industry for almost 34 years with Black Book, Ricky Beggs retired in April 2015. During Ricky’s career he worked within the editorial team as an editor of used values, managing editor and senior vice president/editorial director. He was a frequent presenter at various conferences, wrote many articles for industry publications and shared his market insight with the industry through video blogs – the weekly Beggs on the Used Car Market and monthly Beggs on the Specialty Markets. Still connected to the remarketing and forecasting markets, Ricky currently serves as a consultant to Black Book. 

     
 

Paul C. Behr

A three-time world and international auctioneer, Paul Behr has known since the age of five that he wanted to be an auctioneer. After time in the United States Marine Corps, Colonel Behr graduated from the Reisch Auction School in 1971. An auto auctioneer since 1974, Behr has served as president of the National Auctioneers Association and is currently president of World Wide College of Auctioneering and the World Automobile Auctioneers Championship. In 2011, Behr was the recipient of the NAAA “Auctioneer of the Year” Bernie Hart Award. He has conducted over 8,800 auctions and has raised over $100,000 for worthy charities.

     
 

Mike Broe

Mike Broe is the president and CEO of Auto Auction Services Corporation.  Prior to Auto Auction Services Corporation, Mike worked for Manheim as executive vice president of operations and before joining the corporate staff, he served as regional vice president for the southwest.  He also worked for Houston Hobby and Portland Auto Auctions as general manager.  In 1987, Mike started in the auction industry as the finance manager for the Minneapolis Auto Auction.  Mike’s exposure to the automobile business started with Dart & Kraft Leasing in 1983 which is now GE Financial Services.   

     
 

Kevin Brown

Kevin Brown is co-owner of Missouri Auto Auction and president of ServNet Auction Group.  He started his career in 1995 with the St. Louis City Police Department, and while he was a police officer graduated with a master’s degree in business management.  In 2000, Kevin started as a sales rep with Rangeline Auto Auction and became general manager in 2003.  In 2007 he became co-owner of Missouri Auto Auction.  Kevin serves on the board of directors as president for Coyote Hill Christian Children’s Home and the Country Club of Missouri.

Mike Browning

Mike Browning entered the automotive world in 1989 as a car salesman, working his way over the next eight years to become general manager of Hopkins Toyota in Mississippi.  In 2003, he moved into the auto remarketing industry, joining Manheim as the general manager of the New Orleans auction, where he spearheaded the charge to rebuild a strong customer base, resulting in a 200 percent increase in revenue.  Mike has also worked for Manheim Mississippi, and is currently general manager of Manheim San Antonio.  Mike is president of the NAAA, and his other professional memberships include MIADA, LIADA and NIADA.

     
 

Aaron Cervantes

Aaron Cervantes began his remarketing career with Bank of America in which he served as the vp of lease remarketing, managing the internal operations of their lease end processes. He then went to work for CarMax for a short duration as a buyer. In 2004, Aaron joined Hyundai Motor Finance as the asset remarketing manager leading the remarketing efforts of their repossessions and off-lease vehicles. In 2006, Aaron joined Hyundai Motor America, and is currently the manager of fleet remarketing in which he is responsible for the remarketing operations at Hyundai Motor America headquarters and the remarketing for the western U.S. Aaron also serves as 2nd vice president on the board of directors of IARA.

     
 

Jeannie Chiaromonte

Jeannie Chiaromonte is vice president of asset remarketing for Bank of America responsible for sales and transportation of auto, RV, and marine repossessions.   She manages all aspects of the auction remarketing operations on a national level and is responsible for developing all strategies associated with the processes, audit and compliance and results tracking.  Jeannie joined the Bank in 1991.  Her experience also includes lease end term and collateral recovery.   Jeannie was appointed president of IARA (International Automotive Remarketers Alliance) in 2015, and serves on the board of directors and executive board.  She is also CAR certified.

John has over 16 years of experience in the automotive industry specializing in fleet management and vehicle remarketing. Eric Ibara has nearly 25 years of automotive industry experience.  Ibara oversees the residual value forecasts for Kelley Blue Book and regularly meets with vehicle manufacturers, finance companies and automotive fleet companies to provide consulting services.  Previously, Eric spent more than a decade with Mitsubishi Motors, where he directed the financial planning department.  He architected new ways of forecasting residual values for the lifecycle of vehicle models and improved incentive cost forecasting.  Prior to Mitsubishi, Eric worked at Nissan Motor Corporation in financial planning handling long-range forecasts and strategic planning.

Langley has held national remarketing management positions with several major automotive manufacturers and served as vice president of operations for a third party remarketing services supplier. He is a founder and past president of the IARA, and is a National Auto Auction Association Hall of Fame inductee. Tony Long is Executive Director for the International Automotive Remarketers Alliance. Long came to IARA after spending four years with a leading auto lender, but he is best known for his twenty-year career in the wholesale auction industry. Eric Lyman is vice president of industry insights for ALG and top industry analyst at ALG parent company TrueCar, Inc.  Lyman oversees the consulting group and residual value forecast for ALG and provides thought leadership and data analysis for media and other external stakeholders for TrueCar.  His insights support ALG and TrueCar’s product and market strategies.  Lyman works closely with the analytics, consulting and residual risk analysis teams providing guidance on industry, economic and vehicle trends.  Prior to his current role, was managing editor of ALG’s Residual Value Guidebook.  He also served as senior manager of consulting and vice president of residual value solutions.

Bob McConkey began his career in the industry at South Seattle Auto Auction. He later served as general manager of Southern California Auto Auction, doubling its size and making it the world’s largest auto auction in just three years. In 1992, he and and business partner Greg Mahugh founded DAA Northwest in Spokane, Washington. Bob became co-owner of Kansas City Independent Auto Auction in 2009. Additionally, he partnered with Greg Mahugh in founding El Paso Independent Auto Auction and DAA Seattle. In 2009, he served as president and chairman of the National Auto Auction Association, where he championed strategic cooperation and standardization within the industry.

Levi McCoy is responsible for directing end-of-lease vehicle sales via all remarketing channels. Prior to assuming his current position, Levi served as the organizational development trainer for LeasePlan. In that role, Levi was instrumental in developing the remarketing training curriculum introduced with the launch of LeasePlan’s enhanced remarketing system in 2007. Prior to LeasePlan, Levi was with a major internet provider and major US airline/computer reservation system as a call center manager. Levi is a member of several key industry organizations including the International Automotive Remarketers Alliance (IARA), where he currently serves as Chairman of the Board, the National Association of Automotive Auctions (NAAA), and Conference of Automotive Remarketing (CAR).

Ken Osborn joined ADESA in 2000 as regional vice president of the western United States, managing all auction activities in major cities in Texas, California, Washington and Arizona.  In 2007 he was promoted to executive vice president of ADESA’s western region and then ADESA Dallas general manager.  During his 30-plus-year career, Osborn has contributed to the vehicle remarketing industry in a variety of roles as a used car manager, a partner in an independent auto auction, a general manager and executive in corporate auctions, as an active NAAA member, and even as a licensed auctioneer.  In 2012, Ken was honored with the distinction of a Warren Young Sr. Fellow.

Howard Segal joined Wells Fargo Dealer Services in 2003 as vice president and national remarketing manager, and is responsible for all strategy associated with vehicle sale and specialty processes for the disposition of recovered assets.  Before joining Wells Fargo, Segal was vice president and national remarketing manager for Bank of America where he was responsible for indirect and lease vehicle disposition on a national level.  Earlier in his career, he worked for PNC National Bank as a remarketing manager, and was focused on all aspects of off lease vehicle termination programs and sales strategies as well as retail installment collateral sale processes on a national level.

Dr. Ira Silver has been in the field of Business & Economic Analysis for over 30 years. He is an Associate Professor in Managerial Economics at TCU’s Neeley School of Business and Economist for the NAAA. Before coming to The Neeley School of Business, he was Chief Economist and Director of Strategic Planning at the JCPenney Company. Earlier in his career Dr. Silver was an Assistant VP and Senior Economist at The Bank of New York. He has taught at several universities and has been quoted in publications including The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, the Fort Worth Star-Telegram, and the Dallas Business Journal.

Doug is instrumental in the creation, design and support of the Vehicle Inventory and Service modules within the Discover Computer System which is the proprietary software for Byrider Systems. Chris Villella is the director of account management - special markets for The CEI Group, Inc. in Pennsylvania. CEI is a global provider of automotive fleet & risk management services. A 1987 graduate of Indiana University of Pennsylvania, Chris joined CEI in November 1989 and has extensive experience in their operations, loss recovery and account management teams. Tom Webb brings over 40 years of automotive experience to his role as Chief Economist for Cox Automotive. Webb provides analysis of used car market activity based on data from Manheim’s auctions and associated businesses. A summary of his findings is published annually in Manheim’s Used Car Market Report. Prior to joining Manheim, Webb spent 26 years with the National Automobile Dealers Association (NADA) where he served as a spokesman and analyst for the nation’s franchised new car dealers and specialized in dealership financial analysis.

     
 

Layne Weber

Layne Weber is the vice president of remarketing sales for OneMain Remarketing. He is a current sub committee chair, board member, and past president of the International Automotive Remarketers Alliance. Listed in Who’s Who in remarketing for finance companies, Layne is a 20 year remarketing industry veteran and frequent presenter at industry conferences. Layne is a graduate of the University of Utah and has previously held remarketing management positions at GE, Donlen, and Citigroup.
