Mike Hockett has over 45 years in the wholesale auction business. Hockett was founder and CEO of ADESA Corporation, formerly trading over NASDAQ. Previously Hockett founded Auto Dealers Exchange throughout the Midwest and Southeast until its transformation into Auto Dealers Exchange Services of America. Other ownership interests include Diversified Vehicle Services, a repossession, title, and registered importing company; Xcira, an internet auction facility; and Monument Advisors, an investment firm. Mr. Hockett serves on the boards of numerous charitable organizations and his interest in evangelism and church planting has allowed him to travel to many countries.

     
 

Jim Kelly
Hall of Fame and Former Buffalo Bills Quarterback  
Jim Kelly was a former Quarterback for the Buffalo Bills and inducted into the NFL Hall of Fame in 2002.  He spent his entire NFL career with the Buffalo Bills from 1986-1996, where he led the team to four consecutive Super Bowl appearances in 1990-1993. Now a polished keynote speaker, he shares his life story of perseverance and overcoming obstacles including his insights on teamwork, leadership, having a special needs child and facing cancer.

Kathleen McCann joined United Road in January 2011 and leads North America’s premier finished vehicle logistics provider. Under her leadership, United Road offers a diverse service portfolio which includes highly skilled driving professionals, industry-best capacity, an outstanding safety record and a patented logistics technology system (OVISS). In 2014, United Road’s team of nearly 2,000 transported over three million vehicles for customers in every segment of the automotive industry and is currently the second largest and most diversified carrier in North America. She currently serves as a member of the Automobile Carriers Conference of the American Trucking Associations and provides leadership support to various other industry and community organizations.

Rene Abdalah is a Vice President at the RVI Group and is responsible for underwriting and risk management for all residual value insurance business in North America. He is also responsible for business and product development for RVI Analytical Services. Rene’s area of expertise is in the analysis of the auto leasing market with particular focus on portfolio risk management. Before joining RVI, he was a Principal at The Campbell Group and prior to this spent four years at Standard & Poor’s Global Automotive Group. Earlier in his career, he worked at World Omni’s residual risk group, and the Federal Reserve’s automotive group.

     
 

Mike Antich

Mike Antich is executive editor and associate publisher for Automotive Fleet Magazine. Mike has been heavily involved in the fleet industry for more than 25 years, writing and editing more than 5,000 articles on fleet management, in addition to his active membership in a number of industry associations, including the Automotive Fleet & Leasing Association (AFLA), NAFA Fleet Management Association (NAFA), and the International Automotive Remarketers Alliance (IARA). Antich is a past AFLA president, a 15-year member of the NAFA Foundation Board of Directors, long-time member of the NAFA Affiliates Committee, and was a member of the committee that helped create the Affiliates position on the NAFA Board of Trustees. He was chairman of the IARA industry task force that developed the first-ever Certified Automotive Remarketers (CAR) program and has served 10 years on the IARA Board of Directors, in addition to being an officer and secretary.

Stuart Bailey serves as Vice President of Operations for Asbury Automotive. He is responsible for developing and implementing programs to ensure operational excellence to support Asbury’s business strategy. He leads initiatives in the field operations to drive the company’s operational effectiveness and enhance the customer experience. Bailey joined Asbury in September 2011 as Used Car Director for the Atlantic division. In January 2013, he became the National Used Vehicle Director. Prior to joining to Asbury Automotive, he worked for Sonic Automotive in various positions since 2002. Bailey’s previous experience was 7 years with Pat Ryan and Associates. He started his career in the automotive industry in 1985.

Ricky Beggs began his career in the automotive industry in 1981 as a member of the Editorial team at Black Book gathering market information, conducting data analysis and reporting the used vehicle market values. After working specifically in the used domestic model car market, the older car market and with the truck and utility market, in 1991 Ricky began leading the team of industry experienced Editors and data analysts in reporting current used market values that are based on actual auction activity and projecting residual values for consumer leasing. Ricky represents Black Book as an industry expert and provides market insight for many publications and websites.

Aaron Cervantes

Aaron Cervantes is currently responsible for the Remarketing Operations at HMA Headquarters and the remarketing efforts on the west coast.  He began his Remarketing career with Bank of America and was there for fourteen years, seven in which he served as the VP of Lease Remarketing, managing the internal operations of their Lease End of Term process. Cervantes served with CarMax for a short duration as a Buyer. He joined Hyundai Motor Finance in 2004 as the Asset Remarketing Manager managing the remarketing of their repossessions and off-lease vehicles. In 2006, he joined Hyundai Motor America (HMA).  He also serves on the Board of Directors of IARA (International Automotive Remarketers Alliance).

     
 

Phil Chavka

Phil Chavka has been in the automotive business for 32 years. He has Retail Sold hundreds of new and used vehicles, purchased and sold thousands of vehicles at auctions and started out selling Renaults and Jeeps in Michigan in the early 80's.   Chavka moved into management in 1990, has been an owner/operator of Chevy for more than 4 years, a Used Car Director Suburban Group for more than 4 years, a Regional Used Car Directof ro Sonic Automotive for over 7 years and for over two years, has been serving as the National Director of Used Vehicle Operations for AutoNation.  

     
 

Jeannie Chiaromonte

Jeannie Chiaromonte serves as the Vice President of Asset Remarketing for Bank of America responsible for the sales and transportation of Auto, RV, and Marine repossessions and Vendor Management.   She manages all aspects of the auction remarketing operations on a national level and is responsible for developing all strategies associated with the processes, audit and compliance and results tracking.  She joined the Bank in 1991 and her experience also includes Lease End Term and Collateral Recovery.   Jeannie serves on the Board of Directors and Executive Board of IARA (International Automotive Remarketers Alliance) and currently 1st Chair Vice President.  She has a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from the University of La Verne in La Verne, CA.

Tom Cornellier is the manager of Auction Operations and eBusiness for Ford Motor Company's Vehicle Remarketing department, a position he has held since 2008. He is responsible for all operational and strategic aspects of Ford's physical and online vehicle remarketing initiatives. Tom joined the Ford Remarketing team in 2001 as the eBusiness Manager responsible for the development and implementation of Ford's eBusiness strategy. From 2007 through 2008, he also managed the Ford and Lincoln Certified Pre-Owned program. Tom has been with Ford Motor Company for 29 years in a variety of field, marketing, sales, and operational positions.

Laurence Dixon oversees NADA’s market intelligence efforts and leads a team with a goal to continuously provide content that is both useful and usable to the automotive industry, financial institutions, businesses and consumers. He manages and contributes to NADA’s Used Car & Truck Blog, creates the company’s monthly market report and oversees the creation of special studies and reports. With 15 years at NADA, Laurence is well-versed in the analysis of wholesale and retail transaction price data, as well as the market fundamentals that dictate used vehicle price performance. He’s also been quoted in The Wall Street Journal, Los Angeles Times, Car & Driver Magazine and Automotive News.

     
 

Bob Graham

Bob Graham joined ARI in 1973. Throughout his career, he has been involved in most phases of the leasing business. He started in the new vehicle ordering area, moved to the maintenance management department, then to vehicle remarketing, where he became manager and then director. Bob was instrumental in moving ARI's remarketing program to a web-based environment, which led to ARIAutoDirect®, ARIBuyDirect, ARI's Virtual Market and other industry-leading programs. Bob is active in the industry and in 2009 was named president of the International Automotive Remarketers Alliance (IARA) and currently holds the position of Chairman.

Susie Heins is the vice president of dealer sales for Manheim, a Cox Automotive business.  She oversees the national and regional sales teams focused on driving revenue and solutions for Manheim’s top dealer buyers and sellers.  Heins brings expertise in automotive wholesale, auction and online B2B sectors as well as relationship marketing to her role.  Heins has extensive experience in all facets of sales and operations, strategic business planning, sales management and development, customer service and online operations.  This level of experience was a driving force in her being asked to participate in and subsequently contribute to the overall growth strategy and evolution of Manheim’s parent company, Cox Enterprises Inc.  

     
 

Eric Ibara

Eric Ibara has more than 20 years of automotive industry experience. He is responsible for managing the residual value practice at Kelley Blue Book, which includes overseeing the residual value forecasts. The information Eric manages is offered as a syndicated data product, utilized on kbb.com and published in Kelley Blue Book’s Official Residual Value Guide. Previously, Eric spent more than a decade to Mitsubishi Motors, where he directed the financial planning department. He architected new ways of forecasting residual values for the lifecycle of vehicle models and improved incentive cost forecasting. Prior to Mitsubishi, Eric worked at Nissan Motor Corporation in financial planning handling long-range forecasts and strategic planning.

He has been the National Sales Manager for GM Remarketing since 1999 and is responsible for devising and instituting all processes and programs associated with GM’s vehicle remarketing activities. Previously, Dan served as the Finance Manager for GM Fleet Operations where he oversaw of all departmental operating budgets. Dan was also a Special Project Manager within GM’s Fleet Redistribution Staff where he served as the departmental interface with GMAC for auctions and sales consolidation and was responsible for coordinating the GM auction participation of GM’s overseas dealers.

His diverse career has included management assignments with Chrysler Financial, Honda Financial Services, Auction Broadcasting Company, The SKi Group, and Illinois Independent Automobile Dealers Association. He holds the Certified Professional Consultant (CPC) designation and is a lifetime member of the National Auctioneers Association. Scott is a board member of the International Automotive Remarketers Alliance and chair of their Education Committee. Tony Long is Executive Director for the International Automotive Remarketers Alliance. His implementation of new membership processes and sponsorship programs have resulted in increased participation from industry partners and record highs for both enrollment and conference attendance. Long came to IARA after spending four years with a leading auto lender, but he is best known for his twenty-year career in the wholesale auction industry. He is a past president of the National Auto Auction Association and the first president and Fellow of NAAA’s Warren Young Scholastic Foundation.

Virgil Matczak has 50 years’ experience in the automotive industry. He started his career with Chrysler in 1965 working in finance, sales and operations, then Vehicle Remarketing sales and operations. In 2001, he joined Auction Broadcasting Co., working in national sales and marketing positions. In 2011 he joined Dealers Auto Auction Group as the National Sales Manager. He served as the IARA treasurer from 2005-2010. Matczak received the 1995 Chrysler Corporation CEO award, NAAA Hall of Fame award in 1997, NIADA Ring of Honor award in 2003 and IARA Circle of Excellence award in 2012.

Levi McCoy is responsible for directing end-of-lease vehicle sales via all remarketing channels. Prior to assuming his current position, Levi served as the organizational development trainer for LeasePlan. In that role, Levi was instrumental in developing the remarketing training curriculum introduced with the launch of LeasePlan’s enhanced remarketing system in 2007. Prior to LeasePlan, Levi was with a major internet provider and major US airline/computer reservation system as a call center manager. Levi is a member of several key industry organizations including the International Automotive Remarketers Alliance (IARA), where he currently serves as President, the National Association of Automotive Auctions (NAAA), and Conference of Automotive Remarketing (CAR).

Dr. Ira Silver has been in the field of Business & Economic Analysis for over 30 years. He is an Associate Professor in Managerial Economics at TCU’s Neeley School of Business and Economist for the NAAA. Before coming to The Neeley School of Business, he was Chief Economist and Director of Strategic Planning at the JCPenney Company. Earlier in his career Dr. Silver was an Assistant VP and Senior Economist at The Bank of New York. He has taught at several universities and has been quoted in publications including The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, the Fort Worth Star-Telegram, and the Dallas Business Journal.

Linda Silverstein is General manager, remarketing and rental operations Ford Motor Company. She has been responsible for Ford Motor Company vehicle remarketing since 2002 and rental operations since 2007. Linda joined the Ford Motor Company in 1982 as an analyst in Ford Division's Detroit District Sales Office.  Linda was named auction department manager in 2001.  Prior to that, she was the head of Automotive Remarketing Services where her team offered the company’s remarketing capabilities to external customers. Linda was an NAAA Hall of Fame recipient in 2009, Consignor of the Year in 2010 and was honored as a Warren Young Fellow.

Brooks Stewart has over 18 years of experience in the automobile industry in all aspects of the business.  He began his career selling retail units while in college and spent six years with Enterprise in the Remarketing division.  Stewart then moved on to the auction side of the business with ADESA Auction as Sales and Marketing for two of their locations for over four years.  Stewart has been with DriveTime Car sales for over nine years and currently hold the position of Director of Purchasing.

Doug Turner joined J.D. Byrider in 1999 with responsibility for the operations of the Company Store Service Departments. In his current position, Doug’s responsibilities include the acquisition and liquidation of all vehicles for J. D. Byrider and CNAC within Company Store Operations. Doug is instrumental in the creation, design and support of the Vehicle Inventory and Service modules within the Discover Computer System which is the proprietary software for Byrider Systems. Doug previously spent seven years with Sears Automotive Centers where he managed a Tire America, a National Tire and Battery Center, and a Sears Automotive Center.

Tom Webb brings nearly 40 years of automotive experience to his role as Chief Economist for Manheim Consulting. Webb provides analysis of used car market activity based on data from Manheim’s auctions and associated businesses. A summary of his findings is published annually in Manheim’s Used Car Market Report. Prior to joining Manheim, Webb spent 26 years with the National Automobile Dealers Association (NADA) where he served as a spokesman and analyst for the nation’s franchised new car dealers and specialized in dealership financial analysis.
