Rich Teerlink is the retired chairman of Harley-Davidson. During his 18 years with Harley he served as chief financial officer, president, chief executive officer and chairman of the Board. He was appointed to the board of directors in 1982 and was part of the leadership team that led the revitalization of this American icon. In 1986, he helped guide the company back to public ownership and subsequently led the successful cultural transformation effort. Rich held key executive positions at Herman Miller, RTE Corporation, Union Special Corporation and MGD Graphic Systems. Jonathan Banks manages the company’s data and editorial services to ensure the accuracy and timeliness of its used-car and -truck valuations for the automotive industry, financial institutions, businesses and consumers. Bob was instrumental in moving ARI's remarketing program to a web-based environment, which led to ARI AutoDirect, ARI's Virtual Market and other industry-leading programs. Bob is active in the industry and was named President of the International Automotive Remarketers Alliance (IARA) from 2009 to 2011 and he continues to sit on their board.

Paul Lips has held several roles during his career with ADESA. She is currently the President/Operator of CUICC (Credit Union In-House Collections Consultants). Rose has helped credit unions save money by managing their collection portfolio by significantly reducing their delinquency ratio which includes in-house recoveries, bankruptcy accounts, repossessions, liquidations, foreclosures and fraud prevention. Tony Moorby

Tony Moorby started in the retail car business in 1968 in the London area. He joined British Car Auctions in 1977 as Deputy Sales Director and in 1982, Tony came to the US with BCA to start Anglo American Auto Auctions - later ADT Automotive. After the sale of the company to ADESA and Manheim in 2000, he started own business in vehicle sales, transportation, preparation and retail and wholesale sales. Tony then took over the operation of Chattanooga Auto Auction after the demise of Acacia Automotive in 2010. He is in the halls of fame for the NIADA and the NAAA and, in England, a Fellow of the Motor Industry.

   

Charlie Mullen

Charlie has worked at ACE, continuously since being hired in from high school in 1971. He serves as the vice president of ACE Rent A Car, Inc., ACE Rent A Car Reservations System and JENBOB, Inc. Charlie works primarily on fleet operations, for its corporate operations and US Affiliate network.  ACE uses a mix of ‘risk’ and ‘repurchase’ units. 25% of the units are specialty units, 7 to 15 passenger vans, and luxury SUVs. Charlie buys mainly new cars, but also current model used units also mixed in.

He is an Associate Professor in Managerial Economics at TCU’s Neeley School of Business and Economist for the NAAA. Before coming to The Neeley School of Business, he was Chief Economist and Director of Strategic Planning at the JCPenney Company. Earlier in his career Dr. Silver was an Assistant VP and Senior Economist at The Bank of New York. He has taught at several universities and has been quoted in publications including The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, the Fort Worth Star-Telegram, and the Dallas Business Journal.

Linda joined the Ford Motor Company in 1982 as an analyst in Ford Division's Detroit District Sales Office.  Linda was named auction department manager in 2001.  Prior to that, she was the head of Automotive Remarketing Services where her team offered the company’s remarketing capabilities to external customers. Linda was an NAAA Hall of Fame recipient in 2009, Consignor of the Year in 2010 and was honored as a Warren Young Fellow.

She has been a chief financial officer/controller for various publicly-held companies, and has been in the financial services industry for over fifteen years. In 2009, Karen was recognized in Auto Remarketing Magazine’s inaugural Women in Remarketing feature, as one of 12 women throughout the nation who dedicated themselves to furthering the industry.

Greg Thibault has nearly 30 years of Rental Industry Experience, more than 25 years in the fleet side of the business. His experience includes 15 years with Avis Budget Group, majority of it spent at ABG Headquarters in Fleet Administration. Greg’s responsibilities include overseeing the remarketing, damaged vehicle disposal and manufacturer repurchase turnbacks of all of Avis Budget Group fleet vehicles.

Doug Turner joined J.D. Byrider in 1999 with responsibility for the operations of the Company Store Service Departments.  In his current position, Doug’s responsibilities include the acquisition and liquidation of all vehicles for J. D. Byrider and CNAC within Company Store Operations.  Doug is instrumental in the creation, design and support of the Vehicle Inventory and Service modules within the Discover Computer System which is the proprietary software for Byrider Systems. Doug previously spent seven years with Sears Automotive Centers where he managed a Tire America, a National Tire and Battery Center, and a Sears Automotive Center. 

   

Rob Wagner

Hyundai Motor Finance and KIA Motors Finance
Rob Wagner manages the asset remarketing for the captive finance arms of Hyundai and KIA under the brands Hyundai Motor Finance and KIA Motors Finance. Rob supports all retail and lease processes to optimize the business and improve dealer relations.  He recently launched HyundaiDealerDirect.com and KIAMotorsFinanceDealerDirect.com as an exclusive channel for Hyundai and KIA dealers. This channel provides lease grounding, upstream online auction and marketing to the dealers. He has over 25 years in automotive, service from GE Capital, Kelley Blue Book, TRIAD, and DealerTrack. Rob was also owner/dealer principle for three years of Thrifty Car Sales, a franchise in Southern California.

   

Tom Webb

Tom Webb brings nearly 40 years of automotive experience to his role as Chief Economist for Manheim Consulting. Webb provides analysis of used car market activity based on data from Manheim’s auctions and associated businesses.  A summary of his findings is published annually in Manheim’s Used Car Market Report. Prior to joining Manheim, Webb spent 26 years with the National Automobile Dealers Association (NADA) where he served as a spokesman and analyst for the nation’s franchised new car dealers and specialized in dealership financial analysis.

   

Jim Yates
President and CEO
Alliance Inspection Management (AiM)
Jim Yates founded Alliance Inspection Management in 2005 and serves as its president and CEO. AiM is a national independent third-party evaluator of new and used vehicles and provides wholesale audit services to the financial sector. Previously, Jim was director of remarketing for Nissan North America, responsible for the management and performance of the Nissan and Infiniti off-lease and fleet portfolio. At Nissan, he also held senior managerial positions in sales and marketing, strategic planning and corporate communications.  Yates worked at Chrysler and Subaru of America prior to joining Nissan.
